Welcome parents.  As we work together to help our students increase their enthusiasm for learning, I strongly urge you to visit this site regularly as an aid to knowing what your child is doing and will be doing in their math course. 

Each grade level has its own page that allows you to easily access your student's course information.  A help page is added to guide both you and your child through their weekly lessons.

As we progress through this year, please email any comments and suggestions you may have that will help me to enhance this site for your use throughout your students' academic years in math at Pine Forest Middle School.

I look forward to working with you and your child in my continued commitment to provide opportunities for high academic achievement.  As part of this effort, Study Island is provided through our school to assist your child in practicing the skills they need to be successful toward meeting goals set out in his/her individual education plan (IEP).  This computer based study and skill enrichment program is accessible in the classroom, computer lab and any internet source away from school.  For our purpose, Study Island covers all objectives that will be assessed in math and is aligned with the North Carolina Standards to help your child identify and practice those objectives in which intervention is needed.  Your valued parent involvement has always proved to be a crucial element in the successful outcomes for your child.  You can get to the site by copy and pasting http://www.studyisland.com

Additional math web sites will be given to your child that are helpful in increasing their skill at math reasoning and problem solving.  Some assignments will come from these web sites.
