     NEWS

Principal's Weekly message

During the school year, a phone message will be sent each Friday to your home number on file. Please contact the school at 488-2711 if you are not receiving "All Call" each weekend. This is also the number the county uses to notify us of inclement weather and closings.

  • Raider time has been cancelled for the remainder of the school year.

  • We will have remediation until 4:30pm. Parents need to pick students up in the front of the school no later than 4:30. The last official day of remediation will be May 17th. After that date, there should not be any students staying after school for any reason. Until May 17th, no students should be staying after school unless they are in remediation. We do not have open gym or anything going on after school.

  • If your child has an activity at the recreation center that starts later than 4pm they need to go home and come back on campus at the time their event starts.

  • Volunteers needed as testing proctors for EOGs, May 21st-25th. Please click here to fill out the form.

  • Congratulations to Jacob Austin for placing third in the Modern Woodsman of America Civic Oration for Cumberland County!

  • If you are picking up a student after a spring sport practice - you need to pick them up in the back parking lot where the buses are located.

  • Dress Passes:  Individual $5 passes will no longer be sold. The dress down dates are posted on the calendar.

  • Reports cards:  Progress reports went home May 4th. Check the address on the card. This is where we will mail your final report card at the end of the school year. Please call the school if it is incorrect. If you have any questions about your child's report card, feel free to call and set up a meeting with your child's team.

  • If you email our staff and do not receive a reply within 24 hours, please assume something is amiss and call the school at 488-2711.

  • The "Raider clothing closet" always has a need of uniform items. As your child grows, gently worn items can be donated to those in need. If you have donations please contact Mrs. Medina in student services. We are grateful for your help.

  • Please read the Parent Flu Memo. Fever (100o F) (37.8o C or greater), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and/or other Stomach/GI Symptoms - your child needs to remain home. No student shall return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine, even if they feel better.

  • We are having a problem with students not being picked up after extracurricular activities. If you know you can not pick up your child at the time you need to please do not allow your child to stay after school that day. All sports activities and remediation/raider time are over by 5:30 pm. If you can not be here by then your child should not stay. Repeat offenders will be told not to stay after school anymore.

  • Our teachers have voted to amend our dress code. We will now allow students to wear a light weight jacket to class. The jacket should be solid black, navy, blue, green, tan, or khaki and should not have a hood.
